As part of the ongoing training activities implemented by the Department of Architectural Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Jazeera University, the department organized a field visit for first-level students within the Freehand Drawing course. The aim was to develop students’ artistic and practical skills and enhance their ability to apply theoretical concepts in a real-life environment outside the classroom.

The field visit included training students on light and shadow drawing techniques, mastering proportions, and developing their artistic sense through direct sketches of nature and observing the aesthetic details in architectural scenes.

The students were accompanied during the field visit by the Department Coordinator, Eng. Amr Al-Jabri; the Student Affairs Officer, Mr. Mohammed Qaasha; and course supervisors Ms. Mona Taha, Eng. Afrah Al-Fanini, and Eng. Jihad Mathna.

The students expressed their happiness with this field experience, which contributes to refining their practical skills and expanding their creative perspectives, affirming that such activities strengthen their connection to their major and increase their passion for the field of architecture.

This activity comes as part of a series of specialized training programs implemented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Engineering, within the framework of Al Jazeera University’s efforts to prepare qualified and distinguished engineering cadres locally and regionally.
